She grips the bottle and flinches when she sees his face. When you give up for so long you forget this feeling. Astonished, she scratches her half lit cigarette on the ground and picks herself off the cold cement. Stumbling up the steps she knocks over two green bottles and shutters to hear the noise, worried she’s drawing too much attention to herself. She opens her eyes wide and peers down at her legs, her arms. The incessant shakes. This is how it goes when she sees him. For some odd reason, she is always unprepared for the wonderment she’s always believed he is.
