So we were engaged. I gave her my great grandmothers ring. It was awesome.
See, it was always her dream to move to the pacific north west, and we were going, or trying to anyways. Well, as you could probably tell from reading back, shit went south and we had the messiest of all messy breakups. You know in The Princess Bride where they had one of the all-time greatest kisses? Well, that was our breakup, only in reverse. Bad, bad, bad.
She knew this guy from myspace, well, I guess they got to talking and next thing I knew (like two weeks after we split) he moved from Seattle to fucking Florida and lived with her and her parents. Like, no joke.
A few months past and she moved with him back to Seattle. It was like her life’s dream to move to Seattle. She finally got what she wanted. Perfect. Of course I stayed behind to write a blog and whatever.
Two weeks ago or so, I guess they broke up. She’s moving back to town, and I’m really bummed about it. Not because I’ll probably have to see her at some point and deal with her (Because I think she still hates me). But because it sucks. You put all your eggs in a basket and moved across the country and it doesn’t work out, and I’m sad for her. We broke up over a year ago, and I’m way past all the shit. I wanna be her friend.
I want her to be happy, and for her dreams to be realized. Even if it’s not with me, even if it’s just for a time, even if she hates me. I want her to be happy, because everyone deserves it.
And you know, she’s hot, too. I hate to see hot girls sad. So, Kristen, if you’re reading this, know that I still think you’re hot, and that I want you to be happy, any way you can. ‘Cause it’s all we can do to just try and have joy in our lives, and sister you’ve earned all the joy you can carry.
