I ran into him at a random party on the outskirts...

I ran into him at a random party on the outskirts of town, I only went because I didn’t know many of the people there, and I thought it’d be a good experience. But low and behold, there he was.

It was a decent party, but nothing spectacular. I would catch his gaze from time to time and we would share brief eye contact before both of us looked away awkwardly. I turned back to one of my guy friends, and he kept trying to flirt with this girl I didn’t recognize across the room.

I had ridden my bicycle there, and by 3:30 am I didn’t want to ride home. He was the only person with a bike rack on his car, and kindly he offered to take me. As we walked back to his car, he told me not to look at him with “those eyes”. I laughed, “what eyes?”.

Then he turned, and I was a few steps behind him so he stepped up, and brushed the side of my face with his hand. He looked straight into me. He leaned into kiss me, and I was barely able to step back away from him. He then wrapped his arms around, held me and said,

“Shhh, Rebecca, just let me. Just be comfortable, please. I know you haven’t been in awhile, just let me take care of you. Relax, please”.

I was in shock, pulled away, and stared at him. He kissed me with such intensity I felt tears forming in my eyes and wrapped my arms around his neck.

“I missed you.”

“I missed you too.”
