This is a late Follow/FYI Friday

You may have noticed that over the year and a half that this blog has been in existence there have been a few names that I keep mentioning every time I do a follow Friday. This is because I have strong convictions and when I believe in something, I really believe in something. One name that hopefully you’ll remember is Aaron Rottinghaus. Aaron is, in all my experience with him via tweets, emails, messages, drinks at Applebee’s has proven to be an fantastic human being who I care for in a lot of meaningful ways. He is brilliant, shy, reflective and wonderfully creative.

Here’s the thing. Aaron wrote and directed a movie. A serious, legitimate film. This film is called A P A R T, and It will be making its world premiere at SXSW next Saturday! This is a huge deal.

Above you will find the trailer for A P A R T. It’s riveting, you should watch it twice.

Now so listen, because I want you guys to do something. I know you all can’t go to Austin to SXSW to see the film ( I know I can’t) so the next best thing to do is to follow Aaron, check out the IMDB page for his film (fantastic actors are in this!), and I want you to read and follow the Tumblr blog that is dedicated to this film, so that you can stay in the know with release dates behind the scenes info, etc.

This is really important, I think. It’s perhaps the first film of any substantial quality that has used Tumblr as a platform to launch itself. This is to my knowledge the first writer/director to be an existing Tumblr user before he and his movie blow up and really shine (believe me it will). So take 59 seconds and watch this trailer, and then just think about the possibilities. Imagine. Dream.
